Magic Mushroom Recipes That’ll Make Your Mouth Water

We all know that magic mushrooms are the next best thing from sliced bread, but that does not mean they are easy to chew and swallow raw. We have thought of a way out of this and have put together these seven recipes to make your experience a little more enjoyable. Bonne Appetit!

1. Sesame Balls with Mushrooms

What better way to enjoy the medicinal properties of oil-rich sesame seeds than by adding your favourite shrooms for a healthier ride? The best part is that you can take them everywhere with you.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite Magic Mushrooms that are dried and crushed into a powder
  • Twice the volume of whole sesame seeds
  • Fine honey
  • Pinch of salt

Methods

Place your stove at medium to high temperature. Using a dry pan, lightly toast and stir in the sesame seeds until they start to pop. Put them in a bowl and let them cool down a bit. Set some seeds aside and use a blender to blend the rest until you see only around 30% whole seeds. Add the mushrooms and mix some more, then pour the mixture into a bowl. Add enough salt and honey to make a paste-like clay. Roll the mixture into balls one inch, then roll back into all the sesame seeds that you will set aside. Using a tightly closed container, store the sesame balls in a cool place.

2. Honey Mushrooms

Another great but simple dish to make with honey. Even though it is a somewhat useless way to eat them, it is worth it so much because honey mushrooms are very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Magic mushrooms & honey.

Methods

Use coarsely chopped mushrooms, dried or fresh as you like. Pack them loosely in a jar that is shallow enough to reach the bottom using your fingers. Add a little honey until there is no more space in the jar. Hide in a dark dark place and leave for about a month or two, after which they should be ready to eat with your fingers. You can add mushroom crumbs to the jar when you have eaten and occasionally fill it with more mushrooms and honey when the need arises.

Enjoy treading in the company of friends while listening to music or enjoying some art.

3. Mushghurt

What do you get when you add yogurt to your mushrooms? More mushroom tea for you, if you said mushrooms. Nothing softens easier than mushghurt, we guarantee!

Grind your magic mushrooms and add them to your favorite yogurt. We recommend fruit yogurt because of the structure. In fact, the mushrooms mix well with pieces of apricot or whatever flavour of yogurt you choose.

Remember to beware of any food carriers.

4. Jello Mushrooms

Some jello to go with your shrooms? Great idea!

Ingredients:

  • Magic mushrooms
  • 1 packet of jello
  • Water

Methods

Heat 2 cups of water just down the boiling point. Remove from the stove and soak the shrooms set in water for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain the mushrooms and use the water to mix with your favourite scent of jello. Refrigerate until firm.

For a more vigorous treatment, mix the jello mixture with the diced mushrooms before setting, which is about an hour and a half after you put it in the fridge. Enjoy the company of psychonauts for some psychedelic musings.

5. Chocolate-Dipped Peanut Butter Balls

This is a special goody that really goes down well with the holidays.

Ingredients:

  • Magic mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • Chocolate chips

Method

Measure the number of mushrooms you need to fit your dosage and blend them with a blender or coffee maker. Add the powdered sugar to your peanut butter and mix together with the mushrooms until the mixture is thick like dough. Divide it into four and roll it into balls.

Melt the chocolate chips in a flat dish using a microwave oven. Roll the peanut butter and mushroom balls in the melted chocolate until they are fully coated. Remove the balls and place them on paper cupcakes or waxed paper before placing them in the refrigerator.

Serve when ready to party.

6. Fruit Smoothie with Magic Mushrooms

What better way to arrange your fruits than by combining smoothies with some psilocybin?

Ingredients:

  • Magic mushrooms
  • Frozen fruits or ice with fresh fruit
  • Soft orange juice e.g. HEB or a variant
  • Apple juice
  • yogurt

Methods

Take a few grams of mushrooms and toss them in the blender along with the other ingredients listed above. If you do not have frozen fruit, you can always add dry ice to fresh fruit, though it may end up diluting the mixture more. If you are using dried mushrooms, first of all, you can blend them with a coffee machine, before adding them, otherwise mix them fresh with the fruits.

Presto! You are ready for your first psychedelic smoothie.

7. Jacket Potatoes with Magic Mushrooms

Have you ever considered serving your salted baked potatoes with some mushroom stuffing? We understand the magic type, of course.

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes, preferably the King Edward variety
  • Your favourite ball e.g. grated helium cheese or grated carrot cheese
  • Dried mint
  • Freshly ground dried mushrooms
  • Butter or margarine

Methods

Preheat your oven to about 2000C and bake for 20 minutes. Bake for another 45 minutes to 1 hour on low heat to about 1800C until the meat is tender and the skin is crisp. Cut the shape of a cross on each potato, squeeze the sides, before adding a little butter/margarine. Chop the mushrooms and add them to the potatoes as a base. Add the dried mint and other layers for a perfect finish.

Enjoy it with a glass of water.
